In Sinhalese; the main language spoken in Sri Lanka, ‘sparrow’ translates to ‘hope’. Sparrows have been disappearing without reason just like the citizens of Sri Lanka. In response to this, we utilised the visual of the sparrow as the forfronting image of our campaign to represent the victim and also providing hope to Prageeth’s wife.
We took to London to hand out oragami sparrows, gain petitions and spread awareness of the issue.
